Agony and Fulfillment

“Relationships — children, grandparents, siblings, spouses, parents are all a reflection of your journey,” she said.

“They can be fulfilling or agonizing."

The best relationship of her life was with her nine-year-old son. Every year she was finding more and more love for him.

Having worked in hospice, though, she’d sat with many people who had regrets about not mending relationships. "Sometimes we try to fix things and we fail," she said. "It’s worth trying."

Agony and Fulfillment

I am awed by the ultimate

power of relationships,

the insights they bring.

The agony, yet the

fulfillment.

Take my son: when he was born,

I was certain I could never

feel a stronger love.

Nine years he’s proved me wrong.
