Rev. Leigh Finnegan-Hosey is a faculty instructor in the Patient Counseling Department of Virginia Commonwealth University and staff chaplain at VCU Health, serving in the areas of pediatric and reproductive health. She holds board certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains (BCC) and brings a breadth of experience to her clinical work, having previously served in the spiritual care departments of Georgetown University, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and ECU Health.
Leigh is a Certified Listener Poet through the Good Listening Project (TGLP). She has presented alongside TGLP at the National Association for Poetry Therapy and regularly lectures on the intersection of spirituality, health, and the arts at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Her professional interests include spiritual care in the setting of abortion and poetry as a vehicle for spiritual care in a pluralistic world.
