This third anthology of poems and their origin stories marks the continued partnership between the KNN and The Good Listening Project to uplift and support flourishing of learners across the healthcare graduate education continuum through poetry and facilitated conversation.

About this Anthology

Listener Poets connected with individual graduate learners to write a custom poem and origin story for each person. Following these sessions, learners met in small groups to reflect on their poems and explore the themes that emerged in relation to the KNN’s Framework for Flourishing.

Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Volume 1

As part of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital’s commitment to the wellbeing and resilience of its people, staff were given the opportunity to talk with Listener Poets from The Good Listening Project over the course of several months in 2022.  

Topics on the minds of participants ranged widely. Listener Poets began each conversation by asking, “What should the poem be about?” 

Then, they listened.

This book contains the resulting poems and stories, written by the Listener Poets.
