Celebrating the Voices of Our 2025 Publications
Join us on Tuesday, October 21 at 7 pm EDT on Zoom for our next poetry reading titled Listening Together: Poems from a Year of Conversations. This 75-minute event will celebrate the five anthologies published by The Good Listening Project in 2025. Each anthology represents countless conversations between Listener Poets and the people they met in healthcare communities — moments of story, memory, and meaning transformed into poems.
The event will be both a literary celebration and a community gathering. We will feature one poem from each anthology, paired with a brief dialogue with either the Listener Poet or the Poemee (the person whose story sparked the poem). These conversations will illuminate not only the poems themselves, but also the listening process that gave rise to them.
By the end of the event, participants will leave with a deeper appreciation for the diverse voices represented across our publications, the threads of connection that run through them, and the unique role listening poetry plays in honoring human stories.
