Hysteriography at Wooden Shoe Books

In April, Dr. Julia McDonald, physician and Certified Listener Poet Cohort 9 alum, was hosted by the Reproductive Health Access Project Benefit for Abortion Liberation Fund. Held at Wooden Shoe Books in South Philadelphia, the event featured poems and origin stories from Julia's collection, Hysteriography: Poems about Uteruses, Menstruation, Pregnancy, Abortion, Loss, and Childbirth. We continue to celebrate Julia for this powerful publication and are grateful for the ways their work continues to bring visibility and nuance to experiences surrounding reproductive health and care.

Copies of Hysteriography are available online at Little Chair Printing, and now in-person at Wooden Shoe Books, along with another anthology by The Good Listening Project, Say Her Name: Honoring Henrietta Lacks' Legacy and Impact on Medicine and Research Ethics.
