Nancy S. Scherlong, LCSW, CHHC, SEP, CP, PTR/CJT, CM is owner of the psychotherapy, coaching and training business entitled Change Your Narrative LCSW PLLC. She is a corporate wellness educator, coach and trauma therapist trained in the methods of EMDR, SE, IFS, MBSR, DBT, narrative medicine, poetry, journal therapy and is a certified psychodramatist. She is a graduate of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mentor Training Program.
Nancy is the Immediate Past President of the International Federation for Biblio-Poetry Therapy (IFBPT) and is a long-time member of the National Association for Poetry Therapy (NAPT) and recipient of three service awards as well as a trainer in the methods of poetry therapy and therapeutic writing. She presently serves as a senior adjunct faculty for Adelphi University’s online and residential MSW programs, is a former adjunct field instructor for Columbia University’s school of social work and has created a certificate program for Applied Expressive Arts in Counseling (through Adelphi).
She is core faculty at the Therapeutic Writing Institute and teaches for Kint Institute in their foundation year for trauma-focused expressive arts.
