Hello! I’m Sarah Ratermann Beahan. I am a writer, creative mystic, rabble-rouser, wonder-stalker and side quest devotee. I’ve been supporting people using writing and creativity as a healing journey for over two decades. I have a master’s in rural sociology/community development, an MFA in creative writing and am currently pursuing my master’s in mental health counseling at Adler Graduate School (did I mention I love a good side quest?).
My innate curiosity has led me down the path of studying ALL THE THINGS, but the common thread is that I love people’s stories. Each turn in my path has given me with a chance to listen and hold stories from people of all walks of life: elementary school students, unhoused adults, cancer patients, first generation college students, hospice nurses, grieving families and women navigating midlife overwhelm. Those experiences have taught me to listen generously and recognize that there is treasure in the dark corners of our psyche.
