Marquis Love is a Certified Listener Poet, spoken word poet, musician, arts community organizer, and Cohort 12 alumnus. His listening practice is deeply rooted in connection—learning the needs of artists and advocating for those needs. This commitment drives him to connect artists with opportunities and resources, including financial support, educational development, and performance opportunities.
Be A GraveRobber, an artist support community, was founded at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when many artists lost opportunities due to mandatory shutdowns. The guiding belief behind GraveRobbers is that everything we could ever need already exists within community. That belief was brought to life as local and international artists gathered on Instagram, transforming the platform into a stage while supporting one another—especially those who were financially impacted by the pandemic.
Today, Marquis continues this work through Be A GraveRobber and a variety of initiatives focused on fostering meaningful connections, collaboration, and support within the arts community.
