Kevin Dieter

Kevin Dieter is a hospice physician and educator with over 35 years of experience in end of life practice and education. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and is also a Fellow of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Academy, and the 2019 recipient of the AAHPM Josephine B. Magno Distinguished Hospice Physician award.

 

In addition to his clinical role, he is a passionate educator and mentor in the field of palliative care. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), where he helped to develop the nationally recognized Palliative Care curriculum, which incorporates a unique "Hospice Patient as Teacher" experience.

Dr. Dieter has received several teaching honors, including the 2012 Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, 2017 H. Peter Burg Faculty Award for Excellence in Palliative Care, and the NEOMED Master Teachers Guild induction.

His mission is to inspire and train the next generation of hospice and palliative care professionals, and to advance the knowledge and practice of this vital specialty.
