Kathryn West (she/her) is a social worker and health communications professional who lives and works in the Chicagoland area. Most of her current work is in the space of hematology/oncology/cancer support/grief and loss; she also loves graphic medicine, wellness/resilience work, health humanities, and mental health ethics. Kathryn has her AM in social work/LCSW from the University of Chicago and a BA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Northwestern University. Past deep training includes narrative therapy, creative writing, medical humanities, and bioethics.
When she's not writing (professionally or for fun) or listening (professionally or for fun), Kathryn can be found with her cats, husband, friends, and/or family, re-watching a favorite TV show, reading a new book, or enjoying good coffee and crafting.
