Welcome, SocialRx Community!

Members of the SocialRx community are invited to participate in a 1:1 Listener Poet session. During this experience, participants have the opportunity to share about anything they’d like to receive a poem about. Our Listener Poets transform each person’s story into a custom poem – a gift for them to keep.

The process is simple: participants talk 1:1 with a Listener Poet (via Zoom or phone) for ~20 minutes. They can share about whatever they’d like to have a poem about. Within 5 days of the session, they’ll receive an anonymized custom poem based on the conversation. Don’t worry–participants don’t need to write the poems; their Listener Poet does this for them! This unique opportunity is designed to provide people with dedicated time to reflect on and share their experiences and stories in a safe and supportive setting.

Session are currently available via Zoom or phone on Thursdays at 7pm ET / 4pm PT and Saturdays at 1pm ET / 10am PT.

Schedule your Listener Poet Session

1

Your One-on-one Listening Session

There’s no need to prepare for your session, but participants are welcome to consider what they might like their poem to be about in advance.

The poem can be about anything meaningful to the participant. There’s no right or wrong focus—what matters most is that it’s personal and significant to the person.

Listener Poet write the poem based on each conversation, and email it to participants within five days of each session. Participants will have the opportunity to suggest edits before the poem is finalized. The poem will be anonymized and is theirs to keep and share however you’d like.

“You are forever remembered for yourself and for the compassion you extended to me.

The time was harsh and lonely. You listened and absorbed my sorrow and longing for my husband. The gift of your poem was tender and lifted me to another realm. It sits framed with feelings of love for my late husband and for you.”
