We’re so Grateful to Those Who Supported Dr. Julia McDonald’s Anthology
Thanks to the support of 68 donors, our very own Certified Listener Poet Dr. Julia McDonald’s Fund Uterus Poems! Indiegogo campaign met 53% of its $12,000 fundraising goal. These donations were put to immediate use to help cover the printing, publishing, and distributing costs of their anthology titled Hysteriography: Poems about Uteruses, Menstruation, Pregnancy, Abortion, Loss, and Childbirth. This volume uplifts the lived experiences of people with uteruses (and those who love them) through poetry that is unapologetically honest, moving, and needed.
Although the Indiegogo campaign is now closed, there are still copies of the Hysteriography anthology and coordinating merchandise including totes, shirts, and stickers available for purchase. Due to Julia’s generous heart and the generosity of Little Chair Printing, proceeds from these sales will continue to benefit The Good Listening Project. Thank you, Julia!
Julia is now booking engagements at independent bookstores and libraries, and will be making announcements about summertime Hysteriography events on their Instagram page (@drjuliamcdonald). They are also available for house parties, speaking engagements, and poetry workshops.
