Kent Wosepka had an enormous creative and financial impact on The Good Listening Project (TGLP) before his passing in 2021.
A talented artist himself, he became enthralled by our mission after making a pilgrimage to the art- and community-focused Burning Man in 2018 and connecting with our executive director, a family friend. Frankie had also attended the event and was returning home with the inspiration to found TGLP.
Kent became our very first board member, treasurer, mentor, and biggest cheerleader. He was also our most generous individual donor to date.
One person really can make a lasting difference. Kent had been a banker, but he was so much more; he imbued his humanizing spirit of warmth and friendly enthusiasm throughout our organization. We are grateful to Kent for how he helped us become the strong, effective force for wellbeing that we are today.
We’re writing to invite you to help establish a memorial fund in Kent’s honor.
Every year since our founding, Kent donated to support our work. His annual donations impacted nearly all of our early innovation, including early experimentation with our small group Brave Conversations sessions, as well as our popular Certified Listener Poets course. These innovative investments produced what have now become our core programming.
