Julia McDonald — physician, Listener Poet, and graduate of The Good Listening Project’s Certified Listener Poet Program (CLP) Cohort 9 — is getting closer to launching her vital and timely poetry collection: Hysteriography. This volume uplifts the lived experiences of people with uteruses (and those who love them) through poetry that is unapologetically honest, moving, and needed.
Julia’s Indiegogo campaign called Fund Uterus Poems! has an unmet goal of $12,000 and lasts through May 8, 2025. Contributions will cover the printing, publishing, and distribution costs to bring Hysteriography to the world. Contributions at any level make a difference, and Julia is providing a range of perks to express her gratitude from copies of the book to limited-edition screen-printed bags, newly added t-shirts, custom-bound signed copies, and even a personal listening session and poem from Julia herself.
As advocates, artists, and listeners, we know the power of stories to transform hearts and communities. Julia's collection is arriving at just the right time. Our entire listener poet community is proud to hold up Julia and her anthology for others who aspire to spread their work across the globe.
