Continue Your Listener Poet Journey
The Listener Poet community continues on after certification. We encourage you to join Community of Practice gatherings, attend poetry readings, contribute to publications, volunteer, and stay connected with fellow alumni as this work continues to grow.
Stay Connected
Community of Practice
Continue growing alongside fellow Certified Listener Poets through regular Community of Practice gatherings. These sessions offer space for reflection, continued learning, peer support, and conversation as you carry Listener Poet practice into your own communities.
Share Your Work
Share Community News
Have you facilitated a Listener Poet project or written a Listener Poet poem you’d like to share? Published a poem or a book? Presented at a conference or facilitated a workshop? We love celebrating the accomplishments of our alumni in our monthly community newsletter and on social media.
Submit a Listener Poet Poem for Publication
We’re curating a collection of exceptional Listener Poet poems that exemplify the power of deep listening and poetic witness. We invite Listener Poets to submit a poem for consideration to celebrate the voices, stories, and artistry of our growing community.
Submit Your Practicum for Publication
We’re building a growing library of published Practicum collections that document the many ways Listener Poets are bringing deep listening into healthcare and community settings. The Good Listening Project will sponsor the publication of up to two Practicum collections per year, with additional publication pathways available. Selected collections receive editorial guidance, design, and publication support.
We invite you to submit your Practicum if you’d like your work to become part of this growing body of Listener Poet literature. We’d be honored to consider your completed Practicum for publication.
Connect & Serve
How can I volunteer with The Good Listening Project?
We’d love to work with you to find how your specific skills and interests can be directed in service of our evolving organizational needs. Opportunities include serving as a board or committee member, or contributing your expertise in fundraising, grant writing, communications, marketing, or healthcare.
How can I volunteer as a Listener Poet with The Good Listening Project?
Volunteer Listener Poets help make deep listening accessible to communities that might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience this work. When opportunities are available, volunteer Listener Poets may provide sessions through The Good Listening Project programs such as our Caregiver Haven Program, Gifted Listener Poet Sessions, and future Certified Listener Poet cohorts.
How can I apply to be a paid Listener Poet with The Good Listening Project?
As new partnerships develop, we invite Certified Listener Poets to participate in paid engagements on an as-needed basis. Because these opportunities are limited, we maintain an interest list of alumni who would like to be considered for future projects.
Applications are currently closed, though you’re welcome to join our notification list, and we’ll reach out when applications reopen or when an opportunity aligns with your experience.
How can I bring The Good Listening Project somewhere new?
Have a community, organization, or group in mind that could benefit from deep listening? We’d love to hear your idea. Whether you’re interested in bringing the Listener Poet practice to a community event, or developing a partnership with a new organization, we’d love to explore what’s possible!
We hope you'll continue growing this work in ways that are authentic to your community. Wherever Listener Poet practice takes root, we'd love to celebrate it alongside you.
